Summary
The role is to operationally manage/complete 11kV & 33kV SAP duties on the UKPN DNP&P contract delivering all work activities to include OH & UG network reinforcement, diversions and new connections adhering to safety regulations, quality standards, project specification and in a timely manner. The role reports to the Operations Manager / Portfolio Manager.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Operationally deliver multiple projects safely, competently and effectively to time;
- Provide guidance to team members to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Freedom’s operations;
- Complete network feasibility with consideration given to minimise customer interruption numbers;
- Adhere to and provide guidance to safety rules and procedures;
- Liaise with third party network operators to ensure the smooth implementation of work;
- Maintain site safety at all times and complete risk assessments;
- Report any concerns regarding SHE to the SHE team;
- Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licences, notifications and notices are in place;
- Complete all test documents and asset registrations.
What we’re looking for:
- Substantial experience of SAP duties;
- Knowledge of distribution substation equipment – transformers / switchgear / Distribution boards;
- Knowledge of the overhead network;
- Experience of working on switchgear / substation / asset replacement works;
- Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and its practical implications;
- CDM knowledge;
- HNC or above ;
- IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or other safety related qualification;
- NRSWA accredited;
- UKPN authorisations;
