The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Freedom Networks are looking for a Chargehand Linesperson which is a field based role. The main purpose of this role is to lead and working as part of a team you will be directly involved in a diversity of challenging overhead line projects constructing and replacing out-dated networks. You will also be given the opportunity to develop your career along the way.

Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:

  • A key part of an Overhead Line team to erect poles, change transformers and carry out any other overhead line work that may be required.
  • To construct/maintain/replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
  • Carry out all work in accordance with the standards, policies and procedures of Freedom and its customers.
  • To lead by example and safely undertake works as directed.
  • To partake in the risk assessment process prior to project commencement and continually review and report changes to your supervisor.
  • To work safely at all times and in line with Company and statutory safety requirements.
  • To ensure that all work is carried out efficiently and in accordance with Company procedures and client/Company distribution safety rules.
  • Install and construct overhead electricity networks to relevant construction standards and exacting quality standards.
  • To highlight any concerns, unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager.
  • To mentor other team members.
  • Acquire, maintain and develop own competence in accordance with legislative changes and customer requirements.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of Freedom's operations.
  • Maintain awareness of and conform to Freedom's SHEQ policy and issued safety instructions.
  • Maintain site safety at all times.
  • Conform to all instructions stated in method statements and risk assessments.
  • Report any concerns regarding SHEQ to the SHEQ team and your manager.
  • Adhere to Freedom's AIMED and TLC values.
  • Complete all work to high standards.
  • Maintain in good working order issued vehicles, tools and equipment.
