Summary
Freedom Networks is looking for a Chargehand Linesperson for a field-based role. The main purpose is to lead and work as part of a team involved in challenging overhead line projects constructing and replacing outdated networks. There is also opportunity for career development.
Location: Basildon, Essex
Responsibilities include:
- Erect poles, change transformers, and perform other overhead line tasks.
- Construct, maintain, and replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
- Follow standards, policies, and procedures of Freedom and its clients.
- Lead by example and undertake works safely.
- Participate in risk assessments and review safety conditions.
- Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards.
- Install and construct overhead electricity networks to standards.
- Report unsafe conditions and mentor team members.
- Maintain and develop own competence and ensure safety at all times.
- Adhere to safety policies and report concerns.
- Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.
Candidate requirements:
- Experience as a linesperson, including work on dead networks and live LV working.
- Enthusiastic team player with a risk-averse attitude.
- Full driving license, IPAF accreditation (training available), NRSWA Operative.
- Ability to interact politely with the public.
