Summary
Freedom\’s Network Services team are looking for an Assistant Design Engineer within Earthing that can join an established team and hit the ground running.
We want to add a competent person to our growing team, who can take on a large amount of site-based activities and be part of a development plan to build further expertise into their skill set.
Some of the key deliverables in this role will include:
- Supporting Principal, Senior and Design Engineers with delivering a full range of projects.
- Be able to support most types of earthing projects and ensure the required work is delivered on time with the required deadlines in the proposal.
- Build a good relationship with clients, with regularly communication both written and verbally.
- Attend design team meetings with the team/client via teams or in person.
- Provide engineering solutions to site-based problems through TQ/RFI process.
- Ability to confidently conduct, supervise and demonstrate site visits to carry out earthing assessments, design commissioning. This is a fundamental understanding an experience required for this role.
What we’re looking for:
- Someone happy to travel to site for three out of four weeks per month.
- Trustworthy and competent to carry out site activities and gather accurate data to send back to the team.
- AutoCAD experience is desirable, with some experience within the field.
- Knowledge and understanding of high voltage earthing design, including knowledge of the CDEGS software package (MALZ, MALT and RESAP) would be desirable and beneficial.
