Edge Staffing are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Skip Wagon Driver to join a well-established company based in Darlington.
This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity offering consistent Monday to Friday work with overtime available.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe delivery and collection of skips from commercial and domestic customers while maintaining high standards of customer service, safety and professionalism.
Pay
- Overtime after 8 hours: £18.62 - £20.87 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am - approximately 4:30pm/5:00pm
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 skip wagon safely and efficiently.
- Deliver and collect skips from commercial and domestic customers.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Complete delivery paperwork and vehicle records accurately.
- Ensure all loads are transported safely and securely.
- Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.
- Comply with all drivers' hours, Working Time Directive and health & safety regulations.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well maintained.
Requirements
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous skip wagon driving experience is essential.
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport legislation.
- Reliable, punctual and safety conscious.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
