Edge Staffing is recruiting an experienced Litigation Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (5+ years’ PQE) to join a growing firm in Bridport. This senior role involves running the litigation department alongside an assistant. The caseload is primarily contentious probate (high volume) and property litigation, with scope to shape and grow the department around your strengths.
Pay: £45,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
The Role
- Manage a varied litigation caseload from start to finish
- Advise clients on strategy, risk, costs, and prospects
- Draft pleadings, witness statements, applications, and settlement documents
- Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, and trials
- Liaise with clients, counsel, courts, and third parties
- Ensure compliance, accurate time recording, and file management
- Support business development and maintain CPD
Key Requirements
- 5+ years’ PQE in litigation with strong CPR knowledge
- Ability to run cases independently and confidently
- Experience in negotiation and ADR
- Excellent organization, communication, and client-handling skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and within a team
- Supervisory experience beneficial but not essential
