LOOKING FOR AN EXCITING NEW CAREER – WHY NOT TRAIN TO BECOME A QUALIFIED SWIM TEACHER WITH FREEDOM LEISURE!
At Freedom Leisure we can offer a friendly working environment that brings lots of variety every day.
As we grow our swim programme we are looking for new team members who would like to train to become a swim teacher or may already have the qualifications.
We are able to provide training* for the right candidates to gain Swim England Level 1 & Level 2 Teaching Aquatics qualifications and once qualified flexible working hours are available.
We are passionate about teaching in our local communities. We believe it is important to encourage children and adults of all ages and abilities to develop water confidence, water skills and improve their swimming techniques.
You will be part of a team delivering our first-class swimming programme, teaching either group or individual lessons. You will need to have an interest in swimming and be willing to bring your enthusiasm to this exciting new training opportunity.
If you want to progress further, we will support this through additional training, both formal and on the job will be key. However, we also appreciate that not everyone wants to ‘move up the ladder’ and that’s absolutely fine with us. What is really important is that you are happy in your work.

Responsibilities
- To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
- To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme
- To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline
- Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
- Willingness to gain the Level 1 or 2 swim teaching qualification* with a training agreement
- Enhanced DBS check
