In the role of Swim Teacher, you will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.
Position details
Hours: 9 hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday (rota basis)
Location: Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre and other Freedom Leisure sites as applicable
Closing date: 3rd October 2025
Salary: up to £16.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- Teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the centre\'s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
- Communicate with children parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on progression through the programme
- Assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring safety and discipline
Requirements
- Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification
- Enhanced DBS check
- Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers
- An ability to assist with children and their parents
- Welsh Language skills are desirable
- To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre\'s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience
