In the role of Swim Teacher, you will be part of our team delivering swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, teaching to the Swim England National Teaching Plan, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals. This may be group or individual lessons. As we expand our Learn to Swim programme we are looking for new team members who are Swim England Level 2 qualified or equivalent, teaching regular classes and covering for teachers in their absence.

Hours: Casual hours, as and when required.

  • To teach swimming to children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience.
  • To communicate with the children’s parents/guardians concerning their development, and advise on their progression through the programme.
  • To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline.
  • Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
  • An ability to assist with children and their parents.
  • Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
