In the role of Lifeguard, you will ensure the best levels of service for our customers by offering friendly, clean and safe facilities.
You must be able to swim competently and will receive coaching from our swim teachers to reach the required level.
The role offers opportunities for further training, both formal and on the job, though progression is optional.
Qualifications
- NPLQ qualification
- Enhanced DBS check
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities, and to all levels of staff
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills
- Team‑oriented approach, able to work across organisational boundaries and demonstrate support for staff and colleagues
- Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
- Ability to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
Responsibilities
- Regular cleaning, maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment as appropriate
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all visitors
- Enforce pool safety rules and respond to incidents promptly
- Assist and support customers and staff to ensure high customer service standards
