Requirements
- NPLQ qualification
- Enhanced DBS check
- First Aid at Work (desirable)
- Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to all levels of staff
- Well‑developed interpersonal skills
- Team‑oriented approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and support the work of staff and colleagues
- Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
- Flexibility and ability to understand and follow instructions from managers
- Regular cleaning, maintenance and preparation of areas and equipment as appropriate
- Good swimming competence; coaching available to meet lifeguard standards
Responsibilities
- Ensure the best levels of service for customers by offering a friendly, clean and safe environment
- Maintain cleanliness, safety and operational standards of the facility
- Provide assistance and support to customers of all ages and abilities
- Apply knowledge of safety procedures and first aid in the event of an incident
- Cooperate with management to meet operational objectives and maintain high standards of customer service
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and broaden lifeguard skills
