The Marina Centre provides an exciting range of activities for residents and visitors, including a leisure pool with two slides, splash zone, clip and climb, fitness suites, exercise studios, and a sports hall. The centre also features a café overlooking the beach, serving as a community focal point.
Role overview
In the role of Lifeguard, you will ensure the best levels of service for our customers by maintaining friendly, clean, and safe facilities. You will be supported with training and development opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safety and supervision of pool areas and facilities
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the centre
- Assist with training and development as part of a supportive team
Requirements
- NPLQ qualification or equivalent
- Competent swimmer; swim test may be required as part of the interview
- Enhanced DBS check
- Ability to relate to customers of all ages and abilities and to staff
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Team-oriented, able to work across organisational boundaries and support colleagues
- Ability to work flexibly and understand instructions from managers
- Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
