The Marina Centre provides an exciting range of activities for residents and visitors alike, including a leisure pool with two slides, a splash zone, clip & climb, a fitness suite, exercise studios, a sports hall, and a café overlooking the beach.

As a Lifeguard you will ensure the best levels of service are achieved for our customers through offering a friendly, clean, and safe environment. You must be able to swim competently; extra coaching will be provided if needed. We support further development through training, but it’s also fine if you prefer to stay focused on day‑to‑day work.

Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday to Sunday – rota basis.

Requirements:

  • NPLQ qualification or equivalent
  • Competent swimmer – a swim test will be completed as part of the interview process
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Ability and understanding of how to relate to customers of all ages and abilities, and to all levels of staff
  • Well‑developed interpersonal skills
  • Team‑oriented approach, able to work across organisational boundaries and demonstrate interest and support for the work of staff and colleagues
  • Flexibility to work according to instructions from managers
  • Demonstrated passion and energy for the leisure industry
