Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the bar team during events, ensuring every shift runs smoothly and professionally.
  • Maintain high standards of service and uphold licensing laws including Challenge 25; guarantee responsible alcohol service.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, stock management, and ensure compliance, security and presentation to the highest standard.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere, handle customer enquiries and feedback with confidence and care.
  • Work closely with the Event Manager to deliver memorable guest experiences while promoting Freedom Leisure products and events to boost engagement and sales.
  • Lead with confidence in a friendly, forward-thinking team.

Requirements:

  • 18+ due to licensing requirements.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing catering environment.
  • Experience of managing a varied workload.
  • Supervisory experience including team supervision, rota management and handling customer comments.
  • Ability to establish key relationships swiftly and appropriately.
  • IT skills including Excel.
  • Good understanding of people management and role modeling expected behaviours.
  • Ability to analyse problems, think laterally and present creative solutions.
  • Knowledge of licensing laws and food hygiene regulations.
  • Awareness of cost-effective methods of working.
  • Drive and energy to enthuse staff.
  • Team-oriented approach, able to work across organisation boundaries and support colleagues.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable).
