We understand that engaging with customers and colleagues is not as easy as it sounds and sometimes comes with experience. We will provide all the training needed to be a successful Swim Teacher but we also believe that employing people from a mix of employment backgrounds can offer a wider benefit to our team, some of which might be in their first ever job and need more support from their manager and colleagues.
Within the role, you will deliver swimming lessons to customers of all ages and abilities, ensuring they are supported and achieving their goals. If you want to make further progress, we will support you through additional training. However, we also appreciate that not everyone wants to 'move up the ladder' and that is perfectly fine with us. What is truly important is that you are happy in your work.

- To assist children and/or adults as part of the Leisure Centre's swimming lesson programme, according to qualification, training and experience.
- To assist in the supervision of customers in the swimming pool and surrounds, ensuring their safety and discipline.
- Excellent communication skills with a genuine desire to work closely with customers.
- An ability to assist with children and their parents.
- Welsh Language skills are desirable.
- Level 1 Swim Teaching qualification is desirable.
- DBS check.
