Summary

Freedom Networks is seeking a Chargehand Linesperson for a field-based role. The primary responsibility is to lead and work as part of a team on various overhead line projects, including constructing and replacing outdated networks. This role offers opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead a team in erecting poles, changing transformers, and other overhead line tasks.
2. Construct, maintain, and replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
3. Ensure all work complies with company, customer, and safety standards.
4. Lead by example, undertaking work safely and efficiently.
5. Participate in risk assessments and report any safety concerns.
6. Mentor team members and develop personal competencies.
7. Maintain safety and quality standards throughout all tasks.
8. Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in good condition.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience as a linesperson, including work on dead and live LV networks.
• Enthusiastic team player committed to excellence.
• IPAF accreditation (training available).
• Full driving license.
• NRSWA Operative certification.
• Risk-aware attitude.
• Polite and courteous interaction with the public.
