Location: Freedom Care, Unit 2, Chevron Business Park, Lime Kiln Lane, Holbury, SO45 2QL
Hours: 12 hours per week, with flexibility to work up to 20 hours in some weeks to help cover holidays and sickness. We are looking for someone to do 4 hours a day, over 3 days to start.
Pay: £13.00 per hour during probation, rising to £13.50 per hour once probation is completed.

We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join our small, supportive accounts team and become part of our wider Freedom Family.

About the Role
As our Accounts Administrator, you will help support the smooth running of the accounts department and wider business. You will be involved in timesheets, payroll preparation, expenses, invoices, VAT information, QuickBooks entries and general administrative support. You will need to be confident with numbers, accurate with data, and able to work to deadlines, while also being warm, approachable and professional when speaking with staff, clients and colleagues. This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, likes to be helpful, and is happy working both independently and as part of a close team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Inputting and processing timesheets
- Checking time entries and chasing missing information
- Liaising with departments to make sure information is accurate and submitted on time
- Uploading supporting documents and checking VAT rates
- Helping prepare payroll information
- Logging expenses and advances
- Preparing invoices from approved time entries
- Processing client payments
- Entering purchase invoices into QuickBooks
- Supporting bank reconciliations
- Answering the telephone when required
- Responding to emails and general queries
- Helping other areas of the business when needed
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and professional

- Accurate, careful and detail-focussed
- Confident using Excel and accounts software
- Ideally experienced with QuickBooks and/or QuickBooks Time
- Comfortable working to deadlines
- Able to use their own initiative

- Flexible and calm when things change unexpectedly
- Trustworthy, confidential and aligned with GDPR expectations
- Positive, proactive and willing to learn
Experience in a small business, staffing-based organisation, care organisation or accounts department would be a real advantage, but most importantly we are looking for someone with the right attitude, reliability and values.
Qualifications and Experience
You should have:
- GCSE Maths and English, or equivalent
- Experience in administration, finance, bookkeeping or accounts support
- Good Excel skills
- Experience using accounts software, ideally QuickBooks
- A good understanding of how an accounts department works
