About the Role

Freedom Care is looking for experienced, caring and reliable Nanny to support families in the Romsey area. A key part of this position includes caring for newborns and young babies, so confidence in infant care is essential. You will be supporting feeding routines, sleep schedules, personal care and early developmental milestones, helping the family feel reassured and supported in this new journey. The role offers structured hours (9:00am–5:00pm), working 3–4 days per week, on average 24 -32 hours a week. Days may vary to suit family needs and working patterns, with working dates confirmed 6 weeks in advance to allow you to plan ahead.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, warm and professional childcare within the family home
  • Deliver attentive care for newborns and young babies
  • Maintain established routines to ensure continuity and stability
  • Support children’s emotional, physical and developmental needs
  • Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with EYFS
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families and the Freedom Care team
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times

About You

  • Qualified to Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years, Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Experienced in caring for newborns and young babies
  • Knowledge about child development
  • Confident in their safeguarding responsibilities
  • Warm, adaptable and professional
  • Able to work independently within family homes
  • In possession of an Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
  • A full UK driving licence holder with access to a car

Ofsted registration is welcomed, and support will be provided to gain an Ofsted registration after you are settled and started with the family. After obtaining this your hourly pay will rise.
