Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and nurturing Childcare Practitioner to work with a family in the Bournemouth Area. Must be Ofsted Registered or willing to gain Ofsted registration.
The family have two children, they are aged 10yrs and 12yrs.
Pay rates
Β£16.50 - once Ofsted registered
Hours
The hours are variable depending on mum\'s shifts. Mornings, afternoons, full days and over nights - 3 to 4 weeks notice of shifts in advance. Average 30 to 40 hours a month.
An Example Of a Shift Pattern
Green Weeks (study) - required on average 10hrs per week
After school 15:00 to 18:00 once or twice per week
Weekend days (1 or 2 per month) 09:00 - 18:00
School Holidays 09:00 - 17:00
Blue Weeks (hospital) - required on average 20hrs per week
Weekday mornings 06:00 to 09:00 (children up at 07:00 to school 08:30)
After School 15:00 to 20:00 or 15:00 to 18:00
Nights 18:00 to 09:00
Weekend days / Bank holidays / School Holidays 06:00 - 20:00
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to children in a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment
- Work closely with the family, schools, and professionals to ensure consistent care
- Take to and from school, also to weekend clubs and activities
- Preparation of meals
- Encourage healthy routines and completion of homework
- Light housework
- Level 3 in Childcare
- Ofsted registered or willing to gain registration
- Must be a driver and have use of a car for work purposes
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Creative, patient, and emotionally resilient
- Must complete mandatory training, hold or obtain an enhanced DBS, and or be registered on the update service (Costs covered and support provided by Freedom Care)
