Freedom Care is a growing company that has been providing services to parents, social services and the NHS for over 20 years. In this time we have grown into a multi-faceted organisation offering bespoke solutions based around a broad range of services. People are at the heart of our business, both in terms of the clients who receive our services and the staff that deliver them. As such, Freedom places great emphasis on the wellbeing of its staff and the support they receive in their role.
The provision of caring and compassionate services does not simply require people with these attributes but the necessary skills and abilities to deliver them. We therefore ensure all our staff are equipped with the necessary training to perform their roles with confidence and to grow as individuals. To aid our teams we have also invested heavily in information technology to allow your energy to be focused on the key tasks.
Job Roles:
- Nanny Work: As a nanny, it is your responsibility to take care of your charges, keep them safe and clean. Plan meals and organise creative and educational activities based on the child’s age and developmental stage. Ultimately you will reassure parents that even when they are not around, their child remains in a safe and pleasant environment. The nanny may be tasked with keeping the family environment neat and tidy and completing household chores. Applicants will generally have L3 in Childcare or equivalent experience. Experience of lone working with children and Paediatric First Aid is required.
- Creche Work: The creches that Freedom run are either for a local authority, wedding creche or event creches. The role will be a creche leader or creche assistant. This involves setting up a room or area for the creche, signing in the children attending, looking after the children attending the creche, recording nappy changes, feeding etc., and packing up the creche after it has finished. Applicants will generally have L3 in Childcare or equivalent experience, experience of working in a team or running a room within a nursery, and paediatric first aid.
- Babysitting: Babysitting is generally in large hotels whilst parents are having dinner or attending an event. This is ad hoc work, but can fit around your current work and/or lifestyle. Applicants must have childcare experience of working with children aged 0 – 10 years.
All of the above roles require staff to:
- Follow our safer recruitment process;
- Attend a face-to-face or Teams interview;
- Follow all onboarding tasks through our recruitment platform;
- Complete mandatory training relevant to their role;
- Have or apply for an enhanced DBS;
- Read relevant policies and procedures;
