The Centre: As part of the Flashpoint Group, Freedog Bristol focuses on activities that challenge customers of all ages and abilities. Embodying our mission statement of âGrowth through Community and Challengeâ in our offerings; Flashpoint is our hugely successful bouldering gym, which offers excellent facilities for new and existing boulderers to enjoy. Freedog allows families to socialise whilst exploring our trampolines, foam pit, ninja course and soft play. Everything is complemented by our amazing Cafe / Bar, which serves delicious coffee, pizza and sweet treats by our friendly team.
Job Summary: We are looking for two friendly and hardworking individuals to join our cafe team, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for families and friends to socialise. The ideal candidates should have previous experience in the hospitality industry, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
On a day-to-day basis, the responsibilities will include:
- Taking customersâ orders
- Preparing and serving food and drinks
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and functioning work area
- Handling cash and payment transactions
- Promoting the cafe to Flashpoint customers and upselling items when appropriate
- Conducting safety checks of our soft play area
- Overseeing the usage of our Arts & Crafts for our toddler offerings
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the till system & cash handling
- Cleanliness of the bar, kitchen and customer areas
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages
- Prepare and serve hot and cold food items
- Practice safe food handling & allergy awareness
- Practice âThink 25â
- Accurately report equipment checks and daily tasks
- Cultivate a friendly, welcoming and professional culture
- Follow opening and closing tasks to a set standard
- Build a rapport with customers and help create a friendly atmosphere
Active Cafe experience (or hospitality setting) is essential, along with a strong ability to multitask and awareness of Health and Safety. A Level 2 Food Safety qualification and experience in a leisure industry setting are preferred.
