We’re looking for a commercially minded, strategic New Business & Marketing Director to lead a high-impact growth function at Freedman International. You’ll build and manage a combined team of marketers and business developers, supported by top-tier external partners.

Your remit: develop and execute campaigns that attract interest from senior global marketers at international brands, and generate a predictable pipeline of high-value opportunities. Reporting to the CMO, this is a senior “player-coach” role with a clear line of sight to the CEO and wider leadership team.

This is a senior “player-coach” role – ideal for someone with agency-side experience who knows how to activate well-defined positioning, identify the right targets, and open the right doors.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Designing and executing a commercial growth strategy aligned with revenue targets and key market sectors
  • Leading and mentoring a cross-functional team of 5 (2 marketers, 3 BDs), supported by external partners
  • Developing multi-channel campaigns (content, events, digital, partnerships) to drive qualified opportunities
  • Building visibility and authority in our space through thought leadership, strategic PR and speaking opportunities
  • Managing and optimising our go-to-market systems (HubSpot, reporting, pipeline intelligence)
  • Bringing strategic insight to the leadership team to guide investment, focus and messaging
  • Opening new doors through trusted networks, referrals, and industry engagement – not spammy outbound

You’ll likely have:

  • Proven experience leading combined marketing and BD functions in a B2B agency, consultancy, or creative services environment
  • A strong understanding of how international brands buy marketing services – especially relationship-led, strategic engagements
  • Demonstrated success building campaigns that drive brand equity and pipeline, not just clicks
  • Deep fluency with modern sales/marketing tooling (HubSpot essential), reporting and team workflows
  • High EQ, commercial acumen, and a bias for outcomes over activity

Why join us?

  • High-impact role shaping the growth trajectory of a respected, global marketing business
  • Smart, collaborative culture that values initiative and long-term relationships
  • Direct access to the leadership team and support from top-tier external partners
  • Room to build your own team, process and playbook – no legacy red tape
