We have an incredible opportunity to join us as a Home Ownership Coordinator - a specialist, customer-focused role where your knowledge of Right to Buy, Right to Acquire, and Shared Ownership will make a real difference. You'll guide customers through some of the most significant transactions of their lives, ensuring every case is handled accurately, compliantly, and with the professionalism and transparency our customers deserve.
Our Freebridge Community Housing goal is to provide affordable, safe, and quality homes for current and future generations, for those who need a place to call home. Freebridge was set up in 2006, to receive the transfer of the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk’s housing stock. We now have over 7500 properties across West and North Norfolk, in addition to building new homes for social and affordable rent, and to support those who want to move into shared home ownership. We’ve had numerous achievements, including delivering our customers' promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living. Outline of key responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for home ownership customers, providing clear, accurate advice and guidance to progress applications and enquiries through to resolution.
- Manage the end-to-end coordination of customer cases, ensuring customers are kept fully informed of progress, timescales, and outcomes throughout every stage of the process.
- Handle Right to Buy and Right to Acquire applications from initial assessment through to completion, ensuring all statutory timescales and legislative requirements are met at every stage.
- Instruct and liaise with external solicitors, valuers, and other third parties to gather and provide accurate information in support of sales, purchases, staircasing, resales, and lease amendments.
- Ensure all home ownership, leasehold, and disposal records are accurately maintained and kept up to date across all relevant systems, including the Housing Management System, GIS, and internal mapping systems.
- Create, amend, and manage asset and ownership records to accurately reflect sales, purchases, lease variations, and amendments, ensuring data integrity is maintained at all times.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience of handling leaseholder or home ownership enquiries, with the ability to provide clear, accurate, and professional guidance to customers throughout.
- Experience of producing reports and information in a variety of formats, tailored to suit different audiences and purposes.
- A solid understanding of the sale and purchase process for homes within a social housing context, including the legislative and regulatory framework that underpins it.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style confidently and effectively for a diverse range of audiences.
- A good understanding of the social housing sector, including the challenges, priorities, and regulatory environment in which we operate.
- Experience of supporting legal, conveyancing, or regulatory processes, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance throughout.
