Our Practice Marketing Team plays a central role in designing customer journeys and delivering campaigns that acquire new practices as partners, support them to onboard their clients to FreeAgent, and encourage them to add more in the future.
The Marketing Executive, Large Partner Growth, is an exciting opportunity to support the development and execution of our growth strategy for existing Tier 1 and 2 regional and Key Account partners. This role is focused on helping unlock the client volume potential within larger firms (6+ employees). Working under the guidance of the Senior Marketing Manager, you will help execute the multichannel communication strategy, driving day-to-day engagement touchpoints that maintain partner motivation and support revenue growth.
Success in this role relies on collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders in Sales, Comms, and Product. You will assist in ensuring marketing initiatives are closely aligned across these teams to deliver a unified experience, helping our larger partners navigate their journey and progress through programme tiers effectively.
Strategy & Ownership- Strategic Roadmap Support: Support the Senior Marketing Manager in executing the long‑term marketing strategy for existing large practice partners (6+ employees), helping deliver the roadmap that drives engagement, client adoption, and revenue growth.
- Customer Journey Delivery: Assist in optimising the end‑to‑end journey for partners who joined prior to the current calendar year, ensuring a seamless, high‑quality experience that encourages long‑term retention.
- Commercial Performance: Help execute high‑impact marketing initiatives and reactive campaigns designed to deliver step‑changes in partner performance and tier progression.
- Multichannel Communication: Support the communication schedule and BAU engagement activity, utilising audience segmentation to deliver tailored, relevant messaging across all channels.
- Sales Enablement: Help empower the BDM (Business Development) and Key Accounts teams by preparing and providing the segmented messaging, collateral, and campaign support required to deepen partner relationships.
- Campaign Execution: Assist in managing the campaign lifecycle, contributing to idea generation, delivering project milestones to agreed deadlines, and working within allocated budgets.
- Voice of the Partner: Actively build an understanding of the large practice segment, staying informed on market trends, competitor positioning, and the specific challenges faced by UK accountancy and bookkeeping practices.
- Data‑Driven Support: Work with qualitative and quantitative data to monitor campaign performance (ROI) and provide actionable insights that support future campaign optimisation.
- KPI Tracking: Support the tracking and reporting of growth, revenue, and engagement targets for the large practice segment.
- Product Coordination: Assist in gathering partner feedback and lifecycle needs to feed back to the Product team, ensuring product updates are well‑integrated into marketing plans.
- Product Literacy: Learn to translate complex new product features into clear, value‑driven communications that demonstrate a tangible impact on large partners and their clients.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across the business to ensure execution is aligned with wider organisational objectives.
Key to this role is developing good working relationships with our sales team (BDMs and Key Account Managers), support and product teams, marketing specialists, sales operations, and user research teams to ensure that our messaging, creative, and customer experience are coherent across all of our touchpoints for existing practices.
This role will support the relationship between Practice Marketing and the BDM and Key Accounts teams by:
- Helping relay plans to stakeholders, including positioning/messaging, and identifying opportunities amongst wider marketing.
- Partnering with BDMs and Key Accounts Managers to identify areas for improvement in partner engagement and growth activity, supporting the implementation of solutions.
- Assisting in compiling reports on engagement scores, accreditation, tier progression, revenue, and client add KPI targets for partners with 6+ employees.
- Collaborating across the Practice Marketing team to ensure the customer journey feels seamless to the larger practice partners and their PMCs.
- Experience building and developing communication plans to increase customer engagement and strengthen relationships, ideally in a SaaS environment.
- Good knowledge and experience of B2B marketing strategy and principles.
- Understanding of designing and implementing multi‑channel customer conversion & retention campaigns.
- Demonstrable ability to create programmes of activity and then deliver on those plans.
- Excellent analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis and understanding of multi‑touch attribution models.
- Track record of testing and optimising marketing activity and strategies.
- Able to track and understand campaign analytics to derive insights.
- Able to process new or emerging concepts and information outside your domain, alongside leading a multi‑disciplinary group.
- Experience working with CRM systems to manage and report on campaigns, ideally Salesforce.
- Degree qualified, or with a professional qualification in marketing, or demonstrable experience.
- Proven experience managing and working collaboratively with multiple internal stakeholders across different business areas.
- Understanding of brand principles and how it can be flexed for different target audiences.
- Hands‑on experience and knowledge of paid media best practices (LinkedIn, Meta, Google) would be an advantage.

Work pattern for this roleThis is a permanent full‑time role (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm). The role will be based in our Edinburgh office, however there will be an opportunity to adopt hybrid working, under an agreed pattern of 2 days from the office and 3 days at home each week.
PerksAnnual starting salary of £27,500 - £31,000 per annum depending on experience, with room to progress to £33,500 within the band.
