Main responsibilities would be:

  • 1. The creation and maintenance of Rough-Cut Capacity Planning models.
  • 2. To detail plan methods of manufacture in response to tasking requirements with full regard to time, cost and quality.
  • 3. Ensuring the local MRP system is updated and accurate.
  • 4. Ensuring that customer requirements are planned and released to Manufacturing and Operational activities within the timescales required.
  • 5. To provide manufacturing cost estimates and challenge operation times.
  • 6. Compliance with Inventory control processes.
  • 7. To demonstrate and use 'Lean Planning' techniques and 'Production Control' processes such as visual management, Kanban and Push/Pull in the operational/ manufacturing areas.
  • 8. Experience of working in operational environment, production, and/or supply chain functions.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take a minimum 18 weeks.
