We are seeking a cross functional SEO and CRO Lead to manage the continuous development of our websites, focusing on user journey and experience, toward creating SEO-rich content. The role drives SEO and CRO optimisation using analytics and reports to revise user experience and enhance performance. The role may also involve assisting with campaigns and social media channels, using reporting tools to analyse and present performance for future planning.
Responsibilities
- Web UI / UX and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)
- Set up CRO tools (e.g. Optimizely) and heatmap / web analytics tools (e.g. Hotjar, Content Square).
- End-to-end delivery of a conversion rate optimisation test programme aimed at improving session-to-purchase CVR and session-to-lead CVR on the website.
- Test ideation and setup in the platform.
- Monitoring of tests and post-test analysis and reporting.
- Run a maximum of 2 A/B tests per month investigating specific variables to drive conversion rate (purchase or leads).
- Cross-team collaboration with marketing and technology to identify key variables to test (e.g., design-focused: dark vs. light mode; content-focused: networking proposition vs. talent lineup proposition to drive CVR).
- Manage third-party web design agencies responsible for delivering actionable insights and strategic recommendations, aligned with the deployment and development roadmap based on test results.
- Proficient use and understanding of Google Analytics 4.
- Knowledge and use of SEO tools including SEMrush and Google Search Console.
- Monthly reporting on SEO KPIs, including creation of monthly dashboards and overview reports.
- Domain Authority and backlinking.
- Technical SEO KPIs including page load, crawl errors, 404 rate and error redirects.
- Keyword rankings and movement on a monthly basis.
- Organic traffic performance from session to revenue.
- Inform UI/UX design to help optimise SEO performance.
- Develop, monitor and refine meta description framework across the website using a CMS (Contentful).
- Collaborate with content and marketing teams to implement changes.
- Support analytics requirements by reading and interpreting data to drive future content and campaigns.
- Support the definition for reporting and preparing regular updates on website and campaign performance and key metrics, helping to refine strategies based on findings.
- Wireframe design experience to support best-in-class user experience.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical guidelines related to website and content design and creation, safeguarding the company's reputation and intellectual property.
Required
- 3-5 years experience in SEO, CRO and web performance roles.
- Proven experience running A/B tests (design and execution).
- Strong knowledge of GA4, Google Search Console, GTM (Tag Manager).
- Familiarity with CMS tools (e.g., Contentful).
- Proficiency with SEO tools: Ahrefs or SEMrush.
- Experience with wireframing design tools (e.g., Figma).
Location, Contract and Application
This is a hybrid position based in the City of London. The position is a 6-month FTC role. The salary for this role will be circa £30K - £35K. Do send your CV to us in Word format along with your salary and availability.
