Candidate Profile
As a Senior Solution Architect, you will take ownership of the end-to-end technical solution for large-scale, strategic bids and digital transformation programmes.
Working closely with business development teams, subject matter experts, delivery leaders, and client stakeholders, you'll develop innovative, commercially viable, and technically robust solution designs that address complex client challenges while aligning with CGI's delivery capabilities.
You’ll act as the Solution Owner throughout the bid lifecycle, providing technical leadership, governance, and strategic direction to ensure every solution is scalable, secure, deliverable, and aligned to client objectives.
You'll also contribute to the continued growth of CGI's Scotland & Northern Ireland Business Unit by helping expand our portfolio, strengthening client relationships, and identifying opportunities to enhance our proposition.

- Design & Architect high-level and detailed solution architectures aligned to client business outcomes.
- Collaborate & Influence multidisciplinary bid teams, SMEs, delivery leaders, and client stakeholders.
- Shape & Innovate technical propositions that differentiate CGI in competitive pursuits.
- Govern & Assure solution quality, technical integrity, and alignment with delivery best practice.
- Assess & Mitigate technical risks, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
- Integrate & Align technologies, platforms, and services into cohesive end-to-end solutions.
- Communicate & Present technical strategies and solution designs to both technical and executive audiences.
- Drive & Improve continuous improvement by incorporating emerging technologies and lessons learned into future propositions.
- Support & Grow the Growth Operations practice by contributing to business development and strategic growth initiatives.
- Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
You’ll bring significant experience designing enterprise-scale technology solutions within complex transformation programmes, alongside a strong understanding of pre-sales, bid management, and solution governance.
You'll combine technical credibility with commercial awareness, enabling you to translate business requirements into compelling, deliverable solutions while building trusted relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications And Experience
- Extensive experience as a Solution Architect on large-scale digital transformation programmes.
- Proven experience supporting pre-sales activities, strategic bids, and competitive tender responses.
- Strong expertise in developing high-level and detailed solution architectures (HLD/DD).
- Broad knowledge of enterprise technologies, cloud platforms, systems integration, and modern IT architectures.
- Experience balancing technical, commercial, security, and delivery considerations within solution design.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills with both technical and business audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across complex bid or transformation environments.
- Strong understanding of governance, risk management, and solution assurance.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and influencing skills.
