Lab Technician in Preston

Base Pay Range

Lab Technician – Lathom – £24,000-£32,000 (DOE) + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + Bonus Scheme + Up to 8% Pension + Training and Development.

Job Overview

This company leads its industry globally. They are looking to add a permanent member to their R&D Lab team to continue their excellent progress with decarbonising and improving upon their products. In this role you will carry out tests on newly developed products to assess their fit for purpose. The day job will be taking these newly developed products, testing their composition to ensure they’re fit for testing, then subjecting samples to both chemical and mechanical testing. There will be a large record keeping element in this position as well as some MS Office work – spreadsheets, data manipulation and SharePoint will play a large part.

Responsibilities

• Carry out chemical and mechanical tests on new products.
• Record findings, data, and spot anomalies in testing.
• Data manipulation and spreadsheet work.
• Work onsite in the Lathom-based lab.

Qualifications

• Experience within a lab environment.
• Computer literate.
• Commutable to Lathom.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Full right to work and remain in the UK.
