The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. CGI are looking for a Solution Architect, with experience of working in the Space Domain Awareness domain, to be able to specify and assess future capability offerings for the BOREALIS system. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be a hybrid position, working out of our site in Leatherhead.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the client to confirm function need
  • Investigate and evaluate potential solutions to satisfy this need
  • Lead the integration of the capability into the Borealis system
  • Assess the resulting performance in a representative operational environment
  • Communicate with clients to define requirements
  • Research and assess candidate solutions
  • Develop integration architecture with Borealis
  • Liaise with supplier and across Borealis team
  • Present results to all stakeholders

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

  • Degree, Masters or PhD in [Astro]Physics or similar subject
  • Experience of working in Space Domain Awareness
  • Communication and presentation skills across all levels
