At CGI, our Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit delivers mission-critical systems that help keep the UK safe and secure. As an Infrastructure Test Engineer, you will play a vital role in assuring the performance, resilience, and security of complex infrastructure platforms across cloud and on-premise environments. Working on high-impact programmes, you will help deliver quality-driven outcomes through rigorous testing and automation.
You’ll take ownership of validation processes, contribute innovative approaches to testing, and collaborate with expert teams in an environment that supports continuous development and meaningful impact. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be based on site near Gloucester 5 days a week.
Candidate Profile
In this role, you will design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to validate infrastructure platforms, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across complex environments. You will take ownership of infrastructure testing activities, from developing automated test scripts to validating infrastructure-as-code deployments, supporting high-quality releases into production. You will work closely with DevOps, SRE, and engineering teams to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous delivery and rapid feedback. Within a collaborative and supportive environment, you will contribute creative solutions to improve testing coverage, enhance automation, and ensure infrastructure solutions meet the highest standards.
