A well-established client within solar are looking for 2 x H&S Managers to oversee all health and safety protocols on two different large-scale ground mount solar farms. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programmes to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with UK regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work Act.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.
- Provide training and support to staff and contractors on health and safety practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of H&S legislation and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with project management and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases of the project.
- Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, ideally with similar experience of working on a large-scale solar project.
- Strong knowledge of UK H&S regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Relevant H&S certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
