Service Architect

Must have an Active DV Clearance.

Join a high-performing delivery team responsible for designing and transitioning complex services into live operational environments.

This role offers the opportunity to act as the service subject matter expert across major project deliveries, ensuring service stability, supportability, and operational excellence.

  • Service Architect Responsibilities
  • Develop end-to-end service designs for low, medium, and high-complexity deliveries.
  • Assess customer operational environments and support model requirements.
  • Define service operating models, governance structures, and support arrangements.
  • Develop service acceptance criteria, support requirements, and transition plans.
  • Contribute to SLA, KPI, and underpinning contract development.
  • Identify and manage service-related RAID items, constraints, exclusions, and SPOFs.
  • Define early life support requirements and service readiness activities.
  • Design and integrate service processes and tooling requirements.
  • Produce service documentation, operational procedures, and supporting artefacts.
  • Support the successful transition of services into live operation.
  • Influence solution design decisions to ensure service stability and operational efficiency.
  • Service Architect Skills And Experience
  • Significant experience in Service Architecture or Service Management.
  • Strong understanding of service management concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Experience designing service operating models for major IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge of service supply chains and operational environments.
  • Experience developing service transition, support, and governance models.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise, and high-quality technical documentation.
  • Experience working within complex delivery programmes and tight timescales.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience leading virtual and co-located teams.
  • Service Management qualifications such as ITIL, ISO20000, or IT4IT desirable.
