At CGI, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping organisations modernise how they build, run, and evolve their digital applications using cloud technologies. As a Cloud Architect, you’ll design cloud-native application architectures that enable innovation, scalability, and measurable business value. Working closely with product teams, engineers, and clients, you’ll translate business goals into modern application solutions, shape technical direction, and guide delivery from concept to production.

In this role, you will design and guide cloud-native application architectures that support modern development practices, scalability, and secure delivery. You will work across discovery, design, and delivery to help teams modernise applications, adopt platform services, and make informed architectural decisions that balance performance, resilience, and maintainability. Taking ownership of solution design, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure applications are built for long-term success and continuous improvement. You will contribute throughout the application lifecycle, from modernisation planning and architectural design through to delivery support and optimisation, helping clients unlock the full value of cloud-enabled software.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
You will bring strong experience designing and delivering modern application solutions in cloud environments, with the ability to guide teams through architectural decisions and trade-offs. You should be comfortable working in agile, multi-disciplinary teams, taking ownership of outcomes, and continuously developing your skills in modern application and platform technologies.
- Proven experience designing cloud-native or distributed application architectures
- Strong understanding of application development patterns, APIs, and integration
- Experience working with cloud platforms and managed application services
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain architectural decisions clearly
- Experience supporting application delivery across the full development lifecycle
Desirable
- Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, or serverless patterns
- Containerisation and orchestration experience
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation practices
- Relevant cloud or application architecture certifications
