You will need to be eligible to go through UK Security Clearance to SC level. This is a hybrid position but will require a couple of days a week on site at our and our client's offices in Glasgow.

Candidate Profile

In this role, you will support the deployment, operation and continuous improvement of cloud-native platforms across Azure and AWS. You'll take ownership of day-to-day DevOps and platform engineering activities, working hands-on with Kubernetes and Jenkins to create reliable, repeatable delivery processes and resolve challenges across applications and infrastructure.

  • Operate & Optimise: Support cloud and platform engineering activities across Azure and AWS environments.
  • Deploy & Manage: Operate Kubernetes applications and services, including deployments, scaling, networking and configuration.
  • Automate & Deliver: Develop, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Monitor & Improve: Build and maintain Grafana dashboards that provide meaningful insight into application and platform health.
  • Measure & Alert: Configure Prometheus metrics, monitoring and alerting to enable proactive issue identification.
  • Troubleshoot & Resolve: Investigate application and infrastructure incidents, supporting root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Observe & Analyse: Use Elasticsearch and Kibana where applicable to support logging, monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate & Innovate: Work across engineering and operations teams to improve automation, tooling, reliability and operational standards.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

You'll be a hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong experience across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD and observability. You should be comfortable troubleshooting across multiple layers of cloud-native environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Strong Azure, Kubernetes and Jenkins expertise will be important, while AWS, ELK and Java Spring Boot experience would be advantageous.

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud platform engineering.
  • Strong practical experience deploying, managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes environments.
  • Proven experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
  • Good understanding of DevOps automation, deployment and operational best practices.
  • Experience implementing observability and monitoring using Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, cloud infrastructure and platform services.
  • Experience with AWS would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch and Kibana (ELK) would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to Java Spring Boot applications would be advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across development, platform, cloud and operations teams.
