We are seeking a Support Engineer to join a specialist team delivering secure digital solutions that support Defence and National Security missions. This role provides the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges within highly secure environments, where reliability, security, and innovation are essential. You will play a key role in supporting systems and users that contribute to critical operational outcomes.

Role Overview

As a Support Engineer, you will provide technical support across secure environments, working alongside engineering, architecture, and delivery teams. You will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, maintaining services, supporting end users, and ensuring systems remain reliable and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for systems, services, and infrastructure.
  • Respond to support requests, manage incidents, and provide regular updates to users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Deliver desk-side and remote end-user support.
  • Monitor alerts, investigate issues, and escalate complex problems where required.
  • Maintain accurate incident records and ensure tickets are updated appropriately.
  • Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base improvements.
  • Support incident management processes when required.
  • Communicate planned maintenance activities and service updates.
  • Assist with user onboarding, device provisioning, and endpoint management.
  • Support occasional travel to remote sites when required.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Windows 10/11 administration.
  • Azure, Entra ID, and Active Directory administration.
  • Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Endpoint management and device provisioning.
  • PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • End-user support and user onboarding processes.
  • Security concepts including MFA and Conditional Access.
  • ITSM tools such as Atlassian or equivalent platforms.
  • Exposure to Linux environments (Ubuntu/CentOS).

Desirable Experience

  • Windows Server administration and support.
  • macOS MDM experience.
  • Group Policy creation and troubleshooting.
  • Developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts.
