Responsibilities

  • Package and deploy software solutions using automation and scripting.
  • Own delivery of work packages from design, prototyping, and testing through to production.
  • Develop repeatable unit tests covering expected and unexpected outcomes.
  • Provide early life support and ongoing updates based on user requirements.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation for support and users.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve complex technical problems.
  • Work collaboratively within an agile team environment.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python.
  • Advanced Windows systems administration within enterprise environments.
  • Experience delivering configuration changes using GPO, registry, filesystem, and WMI.
  • Knowledge of Windows update, patching, and installer mechanisms.
  • Experience working within secure or high assurance environments.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting capability.

Desirable Experience

  • Agile delivery experience.
  • Active Directory, PKI, VMware virtualisation, and Windows Server.
  • Experience creating gold builds and system hardening.
  • Exposure to Ansible, Terraform, and automation tooling.
  • Automated testing using frameworks such as Robot.

Additional Information

  • Site based role along the M4 corridor, 5 days per week.
  • DV clearance and UK nationality required.
  • Successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment, which can take a minimum 18 weeks.
