Overview

Our Client is looking for a Lead Application Developer. You will have at least 3 to 5 years proven track record of developing applications with Microsoft Dot Net technology. The candidate will also be expected to mentor any new developers to help evolve that person\\\'s skills. The role involves developing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for a niche sector, with modules such as Membership Management, Event Management, and Product/Publication Sales. Modifications and enhancements may be requested to meet explicit requirements. The main Dot .Net application suite uses VB.Net and ASP.Net with SQL backend; integrated modules use similar technologies along with MVC, C#, Angular, HTML/CSS and Ajax. You will work to understand how customers use the Dot .Net Application suite and develop new features or maintain existing ones.

The contact information is held within the core CRM element Dot .Net solution; add-on modules include basic Sales Ledger features (invoicing, payments, refunds, rejections and credits). Skills that enable interrogation, analysis and reporting of demographic and related financial data are advantageous. The role may also involve assisting with implementations, upgrades and resolving challenging support issues, and occasionally handling Helpdesk tickets requiring your level of expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new features and enhancements for the main Dot .Net application suite and maintain existing functionality.
  • Assist with implementations, upgrades and complex support issues requiring senior developer input.
  • Assist with Helpdesk requests deemed to require your level of understanding when scheduled.
  • Analyze customer requirements and translate them into workable software solutions.
  • Mentor junior developers to help grow their skills.
  • Work with OO structured development processes in a team setting.

Must Have / Qualifications

  • VB.Net, ASP.Net Web Forms, current JavaScript frameworks
  • ORM modelling, Oracle, MySQL
  • Any commercial use of source control systems
  • C# considered as long as you are happy to work mainly in Visual Basic
  • WCF, WebApi
  • Location: Staffordshire
  • Salary: 35,000.00 - 40,000.00
  • Ideally with a degree in IT
