SC CLEARED Desktop Support Engineer 6 Month contract initially Based: Onsite in Leiston, Suffolk Rate: Market rates (via Umbrella company) We have a great opportunity with a world leading organisation where you will be provided with all of the support and development to succeed. Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues relating to networks, applications, software, hardware, VPNs, printers, and mobile phones.
  • Managing incident queues
  • Handling calls with customers, VIP user management
  • Vendor management
  • Responding in a timely fashion to reactive or proactive incidents
  • Recording and documenting incident tickets
  • Monitoring phones, emails, Microsoft Teams chat for incidents
  • Management of Win-10 devices (Microsoft Managed Devices)
  • Technical troubleshooting, issue identification, and resolution for services running in Windows 10
  • Antivirus management (Defender/McAfee)
  • Device movement between desks as per project requirements
  • Unpacking and repackaging of laptops/desktops for delivery and setup
  • Creating technical project documentation, reports, and manuals
  • Building & deploying workstations with standard images
  • Providing Tech-Bar support for user queries
  • Hardware Asset and CDM Management
  • IT Desk Moves, patching, training/meeting room setup, loan laptop management
  • Managing IT kit retirement and device disposal
  • Supporting printers, including consumable replacement
  • Active Directory management, account unlocks, password resets
  • Travel within Leiston area using onsite vehicle to support users

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience troubleshooting Windows 10 issues
  • Knowledge of Starlink satellite network device configuration
  • Experience configuring iPhone/iPad
  • Managing Azure AD user accounts (Joiner/Leaver/Mover)
  • Creating Microsoft Teams in admin portal
  • L1 support for applications & SharePoint
  • Support troubleshooting Office apps
  • Effective communication skills
  • Multitasking and time management
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues
