Overview:
We are seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join our dynamic Energy Department in our Des Moines, Fargo, Madison, or Mankato offices, or the Iowa City area. The role focuses on project development, including site control for renewable energy and infrastructure projects. You will work on wind, solar, and transmission projects, emphasizing real estate aspects such as negotiating, drafting, and reviewing lease and easement agreements, title and survey review, and related work to facilitate financeable site control, construction, and sale of projects. You will collaborate on various real estate matters, including permitting support, contracts, and financing, serving clients like renewable energy developers, utilities, and transmission companies. Candidates with real estate experience, especially in renewable energy or infrastructure, are encouraged to apply.
Our Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- 3+ years of related legal experience
- Background in real estate transactions, including lease, easement, or purchase agreement drafting, and title and survey review
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills
- Strong academic background
- J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School
- Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
