We are now recruiting for a CNC Turner to set and operate our CNC 5‑Axis machine, producing parts correct to drawing.
Responsibilities
- Setting & Operating 5‑axis CNC machines to produce high‑precision components according to engineering specifications.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Setting up tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Monitoring and inspecting workpieces to ensure they meet stringent quality standards.
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting minor machine issues.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience operating / setting 5‑axis CNC machines – Experience in CNC Turning is essential.
- 5 years’ experience of actual machining.
Nice to have
- IT literacy (Windows 7, MS Office).
- Experience in operating a 5 Axis machine.
- A strong understanding of CNC programs.
- Knowledge of materials, tooling, and machining techniques.
- The ability to perform precision measurements using callipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with Fanuc based controls; DMG Mori Celos, Mazak Mazatrol.
- Familiarity with Heidenhain controls (TNC640).
