20260402073003_We Are Hiring.jpgWe are looking for a Part-Time Art Instructor to lead engaging art programs for children, teens, adults, and families in a recreational setting. This position plans and leads hands-on art activities that are fun, educational, and appropriate for a variety of ages and skill levels.
Examples of duties
As an Art Instructor, you will:
- Develop and lead art classes, workshops, and specialty programs offered through Parks & Recreation.
- Plan creative, hands-on projects that are engaging and appropriate for participants.
- Provide instruction and guidance while encouraging creativity and individual expression.
- Communicate program needs, supply requirements, and other details with Parks & Recreation staff.
- Provide a positive customer service experience for participants and families.
- Clean and organize the program area and equipment following each class or workshop.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience teaching, facilitating, or leading art activities or programs is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic art techniques and creative processes.
- Skill in communication and organization.
- Ability to independently prepare and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate art programs and interact effectively with participants and families.
Supplemental information
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Arrives prepared and on time for all scheduled programs.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Work is performed primarily indoors in a recreational or classroom environment and may involve exposure to art supplies and materials used in conducting programs.
