Due to the Company’s ongoing success and growth, we have an exciting new position as a Wet Paint Sprayer/General Operative. This role requires a team player, with extensive hand spraying experience with primers, basecoats, metallics and lacquers, as well as having 1 and 2k paint mixing and component preparation knowledge; ensuring high-quality standards are met whilst maintaining safety protocols.
EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience, spraying all types of paints, onto automotive components of various sizes.
- Ability to spray high volume components to a consistently high-quality standard, throughout a shift.
- Knowledge of all types of substrates and their preparation prior to painting.
- Understanding of spray equipment, from stripping and cleaning spray guns to spray-booth maintenance.
- Able to independently set up and adjust spray gun settings as per works instructions, and competently spray specific jobs unsupervised.
- Very good attention to detail, spraying high-end cosmetic automotive parts.
- Ability to meet deadlines and respond positively to pressure.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Able to spray components continuously throughout your shift to meet customer demand.
- Can work speedily with no detriment to quality, managing time well with no loss of output.
- To understand and work to detailed Process Card, works instructions.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine checks.
- Keep environment and equipment clean and in good working order.
- Ensuring PPE is worn at all times.
- Whilst carrying out daily maintenance of Air fed masks (including air pressure settings).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- General operative duties as required by the business.
