All Rounder Volunteer

We are a day Psycho-social organisation for Adults 18+ with mental illness. Based on the Clubhouse International Model of Inclusiveness, we value belonging and creating worthwhile relationships.

The Role

As a member-led program, we promote mental health well-being by assisting members to connect, participate, and belong. Volunteers are required to:

1. Converse and encourage participation.
2. Work in hospitality areas of cooking and cleaning with members.
3. Prepare and serve a variety of meals.
4. Accompany members to any appointments.
5. Encourage members to join activities, which may include craft, computers, art therapy classes, community work, fundraising events in-house, and Men\’s Group activities.

Need to Know

Required to have NDIS worker modules completed, the Certificate, and Yellow Card ready.

Skills

Support Services: Counselling, Psychology, Social Support.

At the Gold Coast Clubhouse, members and Clubhouse staff work side-by-side to carry out the day-to-day operations of running the Clubhouse. Focusing on strengths, potential, and possibility, membership is voluntary, and members are supported to participate in the work-ordered-day, build their skills and capacity, and contribute to the life and flair of the Clubhouse community.
