Freddie’s Flowers was founded by Freddie Garland in October 2014 with one ambition: to change people’s relationship with flowers. We believe flowers aren’t only for grand occasions, but they make every day special, inspiring creativity and sparking joy. Our starting point was our direct-to-consumer subscription model, helping us grow a loyal UK following. We launched in Germany in 2020, and then in 2021 we secured significant backing from The Craftory, a like-minded purpose-led global investment house, helping us expand, develop and grow. 2023 saw us start our gifting service – bringing the best of Freddie’s Flowers to everyone who needs it (even last minute!). From the seed of an idea we continue to flourish; we’re now a B Corp organisation. And our founding mission remains unchanged – to change the world of flowers, and to change the world with flowers.

About the Role:

Reporting into the Head of Performance Marketing, we are looking for a highly analytical, data-driven and hands on Senior Performance Marketing Manager. This role will lead the growth across PPC, SEO, Meta and Affiliates in the UK & DE, with a key objective of broadening our channel mix.

You will be supported by a dedicated team of two direct reports and agency:

  • Performance Marketing Executive: Who will manage the day-to-day execution of PPC and SEO agency, allowing you to provide high-level strategic direction for search.
  • Performance Creative Strategist: Who will own the creative production for Paid Channels, ensuring your data-driven insights are translated into high-converting visual assets.
  • Affiliate Marketing Agency: You will be the primary lead for our Affiliate Marketing agency, ensuring they deliver against strict CPA targets and incremental growth goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Multichannel Strategy & Growth: Develop a cohesive performance roadmap. A primary objective is scaling channels outside of Meta (e.g., TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, or Programmatic) to build a resilient, diversified marketing mix.
  • Paid Social: Take full ownership of Meta accounts with support from our creative strategist. You are responsible for campaign setup, daily optimization, and scaling spend while maintaining efficiency.
  • PPC & SEO: Lead the Paid Search & SEO strategy with day to day account management and support from the performance marketing executive.
  • Affiliate Management: Act as the primary owner of the Affiliate Agency relationship. You will set the strategy, manage the agency’s performance, and ensure the channel is contributing incremental value.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop your two direct reports. You will ensure the Performance Marketing Executive is hitting search targets and collaborate with the Performance Creative Strategist to scale Meta and diversify into other channels.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Own the performance marketing budget. You will be responsible for month end processes with Finance and ensuring quarterly and annual forecasting with support from the Head of Performance Marketing.
  • Advanced Analytics: Leverage a strong analytical background to dive deep into complex datasets. You will manage attribution modeling, track LTV/CAC ratios, and build/automate robust reports & analysis to communicate performance to the leadership team.
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation: Be responsible for pushing the boundaries of our website, working with your direct report and product team to tailor and optimise pages to ad content and across core pages of the website.

Requirements:

  • Scaling Meta: Proven hands on experience managing and scaling Meta spend.
  • Channel Diversification: A proven track record of successfully scaling "non-Meta" channels into significant revenue contributors.
  • Strategic Breadth: Previously managed the breadth of paid channels including PPC, SEO and Affiliates.
  • Analytical & Automation: You possess a very strong analytical background. You are comfortable with complex datasets, advanced Excel/Google Sheets, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, or GA4).
  • AI Skills: Whilst you might not be an AI-pro yet, you will have started to explore how to automate analysis and workflows and be starting to incorporate this into daily/weekly tasks.
  • Agency Management: Experience managing external partners or agencies, specifically within the Affiliate Marketing space.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Demonstrable experience in forecasting channel performance and clearly communicating to upper management.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience managing direct reports. You can demonstrate how you’ve coached others to improve channel performance and professional growth.
