About the Role
Freddie's Flowers was founded by Freddie Garland in October 2014 with one ambition: to change people's relationship with flowers. We believe flowers aren't only for grand occasions, but they make every day special, inspiring creativity and sparking joy. Our starting point was our direct‑to‑consumer subscription model, helping us grow a loyal UK following. We launched in Germany in 2020, and then in 2021 we secured significant backing from The Craftory, a like‑minded purpose‑led global investment house, helping us expand, develop and grow. 2023 saw us start our gifting service – bringing the best of Freddie's Flowers to everyone who needs it (even last minute!). From the seed of an idea we continue to flourish; we're now a B Corp organisation. And our founding mission remains unchanged – to change the world of flowers, and to change the world with flowers.
As the Lead Product Manager for our best‑in‑class flower subscription and gifting business you will be responsible for the product strategy and execution across the entire product stack. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced product manager to take the product reins of a successful business, and help unlock the next phase of growth. This is a very hands‑on product management role, leading and managing a Product Designer and Product Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Create and get buy‑in to the product strategy that identifies and solves the most important customer and business problems.
- Define a product roadmap that effectively balances short‑term commercial goals with long‑term vision.
- Collaborate with the Product Designer, Product Analyst and Engineers to execute on the product roadmap, setting up processes that empower the team to be maximally effective.
- Be relentlessly outcome oriented to ensure the business delivers on its goals.
- Invest in amplifying the voice of the customer within Freddie's, ensuring that our decisions are rooted in qualitative and quantitative insight.
- Manage and train the Product Analyst to find and present actionable insights.
- Work with the Product Designer to optimise the user experience of the product, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and enjoyable customer journey from landing on the site and subscribing, to receiving deliveries and managing subscriptions.
- Blend best practices with targeted experimentation that will maximise the website's performance against conversion, customer retention and LTV.
- Ensure we're following e‑com best practice across the gifting experience to continue to grow this area of the business.
- Be responsible for creating detailed product specs to ensure smooth collaboration with Engineering.
- Partner with Engineering Leads to define the technical vision that underpins the product roadmap.
- Prioritise and balance feature delivery with platform scalability, performance, and tech debt reduction.
- Work closely with teams across the company, aligning product development with marketing, customer support, and other key functions.
- Effectively communicate the product strategy, roadmap progress and product performance to the entire organisation.
- Conduct and leverage competitive analysis to identify opportunities and threats (and adjust product strategy accordingly).
- Make sure we're getting the most out of our product analytics systems that support data driven decision‑making.
Requirements
- You have 7+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a D2C e‑commerce environment, ideally with a subscription product.
- You have a solid understanding of e‑commerce platforms, web technologies, and best practices for e‑commerce product development and UX/UI.
- You will be proficient with data analytics tools and have a proven ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- You have strong strategic and analytical thinking with the ability to develop and execute product strategies that support the commercial goals of the business.
- You are an excellent communicator and demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills.
