At Fred. Holidays, the Tour Operation arm of Fred. Olsen Travel, we craft unique holidays – from European land tours and rail journeys to ocean and river cruises, all personalised by our expert team to suit every customer.
We are now looking to recruit a passionate Travel Specialist to join our friendly Reservations team based in our Ipswich Head Office . In this role, whilst representing the Fred. Holidays brand, you will create complex, bespoke tailor-made holiday packages. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated by hitting sales targets whilst delivering exceptional customer service, this could be the role for you.
The main duties of this position include:
- Convert all enquiries into sales.
- Follow up all quotations sent in order to support sales conversions.
- Manage individual workloads and support colleague’s workloads.
- Deal with sales related booking queries.
- Ensure that all enquires, and bookings opportunities are optimised with the possibility of product enhancements.
- Input all booking details into the reservations system correctly and ensure financial information is accurate.
- Develop and maintain relationships with trade partners and direct customers.
As the successful candidate, you will be:
- From a sales, customer service or contact centre background (travel industry experience is beneficial but not essential).
- Passionate about travel and learning about new destinations.
- Committed to providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Able to meet sales targets and understand budget requirements.
- Educated to GCSE-level, with a C or 4 in Maths and English.
This is a permanent full-time office-based role, working 35 hours per week Monday to Saturday. A day off in the week will be given when a Saturday is worked.
