Position Overview

Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting activities across the organisation.

This role reports to the Managing Director and is part of the Senior Leadership Team, providing strategic financial leadership and insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee departmental budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
  • Provide robust financial information to support decision‑making and sustainable growth.
  • Act as a trusted business partner to executive and operational leaders.
  • Identify risks, opportunities and performance trends to drive financial accountability.
  • Transform data into meaningful business insight and influence strategic outcomes.
  • Required Qualifications
  • An accountancy qualification such as AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with confidence to interpret complex financial data and present insights.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and proactive approach to identifying issues and recommending solutions.
  • Experience analysing financial and operational performance to support informed business decisions.
  • Proven understanding of database systems and ability to work with data for accurate reporting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience within the travel industry is advantageous but not essential.
  • Employment Details

Full‑time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9:00 am‑5:00 pm.

Hybrid work pattern of three days in the office (Head Office, Fred Olsen House, 42 White House Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 5LL) and two days at home.
