Established in 1963, Fred. Olsen Ltd focuses primarily on the Renewable Energy, Forest Management, Logistics and Travel Sectors. Established and based in the UK, but operating globally, we operate with innovation, service and dependability in mind, and supply a central service function in Finance, HR, IT and Facilities services to the UK companies under our umbrella.
The Solutions Architect will play a key role in shaping how our core systems connect and work together. While early priorities involve defining a new integration layer between our reservation system, selling channels, and internal platforms, the long-term scope extends across all major business systems and future transformation initiatives. The role will work closely with technology teams, product teams, and existing specialists to improve the quality of our system designs and ensure integrations are reliable, scalable, and consistent.
In this role, you will actively contribute to the development and evolution of architectural standards, templates, and guidelines, helping to create consistency and clarity across our technology landscape. You will work closely with product, engineering, and specialist colleagues to ensure solution designs align with our strategic direction and deliver real business value. By identifying gaps, risks, and dependencies early, you’ll provide practical, actionable solutions that keep initiatives moving forward.
We are keen to hear from candidates with strong experience as a Solutions Architect, particularly within system integration. You’ll bring excellent analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex problems and translate them into practical, effective solutions. You’ll also be a confident communicator, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to build alignment and drive outcomes. Experience within the travel, cruise, hospitality, or other reservation-based industries would be highly beneficial, as would experience working in environments undergoing significant systems or platform transformation, ideally involving the implementation or modernisation of reservation or channel platforms.
This is a Full-Time, permanent position working 35 hours per week based at our Head Office (Fred Olsen House, 42 White House Road, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 5LL) offering a hybrid work pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home.
As an equal opportunity employer, we celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We want to ensure that you feel supported throughout the application process and provide reasonable adjustments where necessary and requested. If you require any reasonable adjustments as part of your application and interview process, please do not hesitate to let us know.
