As we continue to grow, we are now strengthening our Credit Control team with a full-time Credit Controller & Finance Clerk in our Ipswich Head Office on a fixed-term contract until November 2026 at the earliest. Working on a hybrid basis, you will be responsible for the collection of monies due from debtors, whilst also assisting our purchase ledger and treasury management team with processing invoices and bank reconciliation.
Main Tasks & Activities
- Chasing declined on-board accounts & medical insurance claims.
- Collection of monies from agents to agreed terms by e-mail and phone.
- Collection of monies from Direct Guests to agreed terms by e-mail and phone.
- Providing holiday cover for the Credit Controllers - by taking on additional collections.
- Coding of cash, cheques, bacs payments and on-board payments and imputing onto debtor accounts and passenger bookings.
- Allocations of cash, cheques, BAC’s, debit/credit card payments, on-board payments and credit notes.
- Ensure that journals are completed and allocated correctly.
- Ensure that remittances, e-mails, worksheets, letters are dealt with within 2 days and filed within the Credit Control Drive & correct folders.
- Assist Purchase Ledger controller with processing invoices through the procure to pay system.
- Assist Finance Assistant/Treasury with posting bank reconciliations and other tasks as required.
About You
- Professional experience within Credit Control and/or Finance.
- Excellent communication skills and able to speak confidently and professionally with agents and guests over the phone.
- A pass rate (C or 4) in Maths and English at GCSE and/or A Level (or equivalent).
- CICM or AAT training is desirable but not essential.
- Good understanding of a Credit Control and Finance function within a company.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel.
- Able to use own initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail skills and consistent accuracy.
- Confident and patient under pressure and when dealing with debtors and operational departments.
This is a full-time, fixed-term role until November 2026 at the earliest. You would work 35 hours per week on a hybrid basis, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
