Overview
As we continue to grow, we are now strengthening our Reservations team with a Trainee Cruise Sales Consultant in our Ipswich Head Office. You will have the opportunity to visit ships and sail on educational trips. Monthly commission is available in addition to the basic salary.
Responsibilities
- Dealing with customer enquiries and reservations in a polite and professional manner.
- Building and maintaining your own knowledge library on rates, prices and terms of business.
- Effectively promoting all relevant Fred. Olsen products to customers.
- Confirming bookings and upselling all relevant products.
- Selling the Fred. Olsen products and brand to customers.
- Learning and development: you will receive an initial 4 weeks of training with our Learning and Development team, who will provide full product training covering the systems we use and the Fred. Olsen products to help you have all the knowledge you need to achieve your best.
- Personable with excellent communication skills and a polite, engaging telephone manner.
- Able to build positive relationships with our customers.
- Educated to GCSE-level or equivalent, with a C or 4 in Maths and English.
- Passionate about working in the travel industry and learning our destinations.
- Organised and able to manage tasks to meet deadlines.
- Sales or customer service experience is beneficial.
Work Schedule
This is a permanent, full-time role, working 35 hours a week Monday to Friday and every other Saturday. A day off in the week will be rewarded when a Saturday is worked.
