We are looking for a creative, curious and social‑first individual to join our team and begin their career in social media and content marketing. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys creating content, keeping up with trends, engaging with online communities and learning how brands use social media to connect with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Community Engagement
    • Support the team in monitoring and responding to conversations across our social media channels.
    • Help engage with guests and online communities in an authentic and positive way.
    • Assist with responding to customer messages and comments, working alongside our customer contact team.
    • Escalate customer service queries or reputation concerns to the appropriate teams.
    • Help maintain Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' friendly and consistent tone of voice across all channels.
    • Identify opportunities to join relevant conversations and support reactive social media activity.
  • Social Content Publishing & Creator Support
    • Support the creation, scheduling and publishing of content across social media platforms.
    • Assist with maintaining the social media content calendar.
    • Support content approval processes and publishing workflows.
    • Help create and edit social content, including photography, video and short‑form content.
    • Travel across our fleet may be required to support content creation opportunities.
    • Assist with influencer and creator activity, including research, outreach and communications.
    • Support campaign administration, including creator briefs, competitions, gifting and campaign tracking.
  • User‑Generated Content (UGC)
    • Help source and organise high‑quality guest‑generated content.
    • Maintain UGC libraries and permission records.
    • Identify guest stories and experiences that could be shared across our channels.
    • Support the team in building a bank of content opportunities from our guests and community.
  • Social Listening & Insights
    • Monitor social conversations, trends and competitor activity using social media tools.
    • Keep up to date with emerging platforms, creators and cultural trends.
    • Support the tracking of social media performance, including engagement, reach and audience growth.
    • Help identify audience interests, sentiment and opportunities for future content.
    • Assist with creating basic social media reports and sharing insights with the wider business.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
  • A genuine passion for social media and digital content.
  • Interest in creating engaging content for different audiences.
  • Curiosity about social trends, platforms and online communities.
  • Good written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Creativity and confidence in sharing ideas.
  • Organised approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Positive, team‑focused attitude.
  • Previous experience managing personal social media accounts, creating content, photography, video editing, blogging or contributing to online communities is beneficial but not required.

Training & Development

  • Apprenticeship – the successful candidate will work towards the Level3 Content Creator qualification over an estimated 18‑month course.
  • Work‑based apprenticeship with on‑the‑job training and 1‑to‑1 support from an apprenticeship training provider.
